Celebrating 55 Years of God's Greatness
To Shady Grove UPC!

 

God has abundantly blessed Shady Grove United Pentecostal Church. We recently celebrated 55 years of serving Jesus Christ in the Shady Grove Community. We, at Shady Grove, have also been blessed to celebrate 10 years of having our wonderful pastor, Rev. Jeff Phillips. Bro. Phillips and his family are an important part of our lives. We thank God for blessing us with this outstanding man of God to lead us in our walk of faith.

To celebrate these two very important anniversaries we set aside a weekend and filled it with special services and visiting ministers. On Friday night, Rev. Brian Montgomery was the emcee and Rev. T. F. Tenney was the guest speaker. After the Friday night service a supper was prepared for all of the ministers and their wives. Saturday night Rev. L. E. Robertson was the emcee and the late Rev. Wayne Pounders was the guest speaker. After the Saturday night service everyone was invited to the fellowship hall to watch a slide presentation of years gone by on up to the present day.

For both Sunday morning and Sunday night services Rev. Wade Townley was emcee and Rev. Jerry M. Green was special speaker, delivering the word of God. After the Sunday morning service there was a covered dish meal served for anyone who wished to attend. God's spirit and his blessings was felt throughout these services. We at Shady Grove UPC give God all of the glory for the 55 years of service to him and we thank God for Pastor Jeff Phillips. We would also like to sincerely thank everyone that came out and celebrated these anniversaries with us.
